What GPU do I actually need for GSPro at 1080p?

Building a dedicated sim PC and trying not to overspend on the GPU. I'll be running GSPro at 1080p (projector is 1080p native).

I see recommendations ranging from GTX 1650 to RTX 4070. That's a huge price range.

What are you all running GSPro on and how does it perform? I don't need ultra settings, just smooth gameplay at medium-high.

Also, does the GPU matter for ball tracking or is that all handled by the launch monitor?
