Sim golf during summer - who actually uses theirs year round?

Curious to hear from people who have had their sims for a year or more.

Do you actually use it during nice weather or does it collect dust from April to October?

I'm trying to justify the expense but wondering if it'll only get 4-5 months of use per year in my climate (midwest).

For year-round users, what keeps you coming back even when you could play outside?
