Short throw vs ultra short throw - does input lag really matter for golf?

Shopping for a projector and seeing people recommend short throw over UST because of input lag. But it's golf, not Call of Duty.

Does input lag actually matter when ball flight takes 5+ seconds?

My room is only 12ft deep so UST would give more flexibility.
